Wallace F. Colvin

CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. - Wallace Foster Colvin, 60, of Cambridge, N.Y., died unexpectedly Saturday morning, February 8, 2014, at the Rutland (Vt.) Regional Medical Center.
He was born on May 30, 1953, in Rutland.
Mr. Colvin graduated from the Arlington (Vt.) High School in 1972 and the Rhema Bible College in 1993.
In Vermont, he grew up in Arlington, had been a resident of Danby for 18 years and Fair Haven for several years until September when he relocated to Cambridge to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Colvin married Mary Gaiotti on February 22, 1977.
He was a member of the Good Ground Church in Cohoes, N.Y.
Mr. Colvin was employed by the Ginacola Construction Co. for several years until retiring due to his failing health.
He was the pastor of the Mountain of the Lord Church in Danby for several years.
Mr. Colvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and was an avid football fan of the New York Giants and the New York Jets.
Survivors include his wife of Cambridge, N.Y.; a daughter, Carman Bogle and her husband Scott of Cambridge, N.Y.; a son, Matthew Colvin and his wife Laura of White Creek, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Austin Hackman, Angelina Hackman, Garrett Hackman, Gabrielle Hackman, Christian Colvin, Camron Colvin and Hanalynn Colvin.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Natalie Hackman, and a son-in-law, Roy Hackman.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Wallingford-Aldous Funeral Home, 187 North Main St., Wallingford, Vt.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Roadside Chapel Assembly of God Church, 1680 Town Line Road, Rutland, Vt. The Rev. Wendell Williams, pastor of the Good Ground Church in Cohoes, N.Y., will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date in the Danby-Scottsville Cemetery.
