In the early '60's, I worked across the street from Marcus Auto Supply. I met Allen at Faylor's Coffee Shop and often we took our coffee break together. Allen was a dear sweet man with a warm smile, a ready laugh and a kind and humorous word.
I so admired his courage to change his life and move to Hawaii.
When the time came for me to make changes in my life, I often thought of Allen and told myself - If Allen could do it, so can I.
