Im so sorry for your loss. I know its been a while since you lost your precious son. Im sure you think of him everyday and will always remember him the way he was as he will always be in your hearts ♥. Im sure you wonder what he would be like today, I assure you that he will always be that young handsome beautiful son of yours and will always be there as your family Angel watching over you all. He is your heart that is always filled with love. God bless you all and always remember he will always live on in your hearts and memories.

This was taken of Andrew after he cut his hair to donate to Locks of Love. He was quite the generous young man.

The first anniversary of Andrew's death seems to be approaching very quickly. We are truely blessed to have so many prayers for our family. Words can not express our gratitude adaquately. We will be holding a candle-light vigil in honor of Andrew on August 2, 2011 at dusk. If you wish to attend and need more information, go to gsjg.org and send a message to the General Manager. I will reply to you with the details.
God Bless you all.

Before we got started, I needed to say a few words of behalf of our Jr. Grizzly family. More specifically, on behalf of those you men on the field...and all else who stood witness on the night of August the 2nd.
While our hearts are very sad, we recognize that with Andrew's death we had a rare opportunity to witness first hand; the depth of a mother's love, the supernatural strength of a father, and the power in that brother's bond.
We witnessed this community wrap their arms around this family...stronger than any army...and tighter than any clenched fist.
In death, Andrew taught us how to live. Just as in life...with that big ole' smile...he was showing us how to act!
Jesus said in Mathew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father in heaven."
Andrew Lamphere, we saw your light.
And it shined on us that day!!
So we had a moment of silence for you...to thank you, buddy.
And that is the damned truth of it all.

When I read about Andrew I felt like I was losing my brother all over again . Pat died of IHSS at age 16 (in 1969) without warning. He was getting himself into shape for high school football. It was very hard on all of us as I know it will be for you. I, too, have IHSS (I will be 70 in Dec.) but it hasn't shown up in anyone else in my family. I have 2 other siblings and a grown daughter who are all okay. The disease progresses throughout your life, so I have developed more heart problems as a result. Tragically, it often effects young boys just when they are beginning to enjoy playing their favorite sport. I hope you will be comforted in knowing that there was probably nothing you could have done. Please accept my condolences. My thoughts are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Lamphere Family. I didn't know you or your son, but this story has truly touched my heart. I know there are no words that I can stay that will bring him back, but I can say, from the stories I read, you had a truly remarkable son. I pray that God will give you the strenght and support you need as you get through each passing day. God Bless You.
