Sacramento, California - Andrew "Sonny" Thornton Jr. went on to be with the Lord on December 16, 2022. He was loved by his family and friends including his surviving sister Edith, children Valerie, Binita, Ronald, Andrew and Ramona along with a host of stepchildren, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing to be held on December 29, 2022 from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. at Morgan Jones Funeral Home, 4200 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95817. Funeral service to be held on December 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3565 9th Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95817.

Dear Family: We are saddened to learn of Sonny's passing. We have beautiful memories of our times together over the years and will always treasure them.
Sonny and Isaiah shared the same birthday and celebrated the day together for many years. We will miss talking with him. We are praying for the family.
