Dierbare familie,

Dear family and friends
Yesterday I was informed through my sister Lydie that tante Annie passed away. Of course she reached a remarkeble age but I did not expect that she would leave us already. I enjoy a fine memory of her and especially to her visit to Holland last year.
I offer my sincere condolances to you all and wish you strength. I hope that I shall meet many of you again some day.

Mom,

I wore my Red Ruby Slippers to your celebration of life and clicked them together three times and said "There is no place like home" YOU ARE NOW HOME IN HEAVEN!

Your faith has always been an inspiration to me with that twinkle in your eyes that was a light to everyone who knew you.

All my love, Theresa

Please accept my sincere condolences for you and your family. I am grateful and honored for the blessing to have known your parents. I worked on the dairy during harvest and planting seasons from 1971 until 1973 when your dad ran the dairy and your mom ran the house. The time I spent with your family on the dairy are some of the highlights of my life and serve some of my fondest memories from that time. I remember the faith in God your parents displayed. Attending church with them. Going to communion because your mom advised me to go to confession. Your mom’s sandwiches during harvest. Going to The Johnson’s Del Prado restaurant with them. Sitting at the table in the big house playing cards and having meals with fresh milk. Your mom making manhattans for your dad. Your mom is still blessing me today. Part of my fear of getting old is relieved because I found her on Facebook when searching for friends. I am assured I can still learn and grow. Your parents have been a miracle and an inspiration to me. I will close with my best wishes and hope for you and your family. Please share this note with your siblings.

We enjoyed so much the last time tante Annie was with us, in Lisse.
She saw the Bloemencorso that she remembered so well from her childhood, with her brother (my father) Theo.
And that is what we treasure, all the love she showed.

Tante An,
Liefs,

Dear Ron and the van Steyn family,

It was with great sadness that I read about the passing of your wonderful Mom, this past week. Many, many years ago, when we were students at Cosumnes River College (the first year of it's existence,) our paths crossed. What wonderful times those were. There was nothing more exciting than to be invited to the van Steyn dairy, for any one of their many family gatherings. Even if you weren't a member of the family, you were treated like one. For "city kids," it was an unbelievable experience. My best girlfriend, Susan, dated Ron, and she would always describe how she felt like a part of their large, extended family. It was a wonderful time. Hearing this news, it truly sounds like the end of a wonderful era, never to be quite like that again. Please accept my deepest condolences in the passing of your Mom. With all that has been written in this guest book, she will be a woman very sadly missed, but has left a legacy we must all strive to live up to. God bless Anne Theresia van Steyn.

With love,
Rose Beno-Clemons

Dear van Steyn Family,
We will never forget the expression one could read in your mom's twinkling eyes. She was always upbeat and had something nice to say...a real pleasure to be around. We are blessed to know all of her beautiful family and see you grow. You inherited her faith and virtues to go out and share with the world. Peace be with you until the day we are all reunited with Anne.

Tante Anne became my adopted "second mom" when my own mom passed away. She made sure I was kept in the loop with the many happenings in her family. Tante Anne and I shared many experiences together. The most memorable one was on a vacation with a tour group to meet Pope John Paul II at Castel Gondolfo. Her love of life lives on in all her descendants. What a legacy she has passed on. I was blessed to be apart of it.

Anne was such a wonderful woman and a great friend to my mother, Jeanne Wolff. I will miss them both, it's amazing that these two friends went to be with the Lord 1 day apart from each other. I can see them laughing and enjoying each others company again along with their loving family and friends that went before them!
