March 14, 1935 - Dec. 8, 2010
Age 75, went to his Maker on December 8, 2010 of natural causes. He was born in Michigan to Italian immigrant farm workers and migrated to the Western Unitied states from the east coast. He came to Rancho Cordova to work at Aerojet and settled here with his family in 1960 after being discharged from the army. While living here, he raised 4 children with his wife Shirley. He was a painter, farm worker and all around handyman for many years. He traveled extensively for his civil service job, painting all over the world. After he retired, he stayed busy. He worked at the Cordova food locker and at Cordova Neighborhood Church's Respite Program. He enjoyed shopping, cooking and helping family. He was active in his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's life and liked nothing better than to gather with his family for a BBQ a dinner or a holiday. If there was food, he was a happy camper. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Shirley Colasanti; Children, Dino Colasanti, Tammy Duke, Mike Colasanti. Preceded in death by his son Kris Watkins. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Cordova Neighborhood Church 10600 Coloma Rd., Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 on Fri, Dec 17, 2010 at 11am. Any remembrances can be made to Cordova Neighborhood Respite Club.
