Not even sure how to start....your mom Aurora was a very special person in my life. I will always remember that there was never a time that when I saw her she would always greet me with one of her great big hugs and a kiss on my cheek and always tell me that she loved me - she would say "I love you Rachel...I really really love you!!! And I knew she meant it and yes I really loved her too. This world is not going to be the same without her - it will definitely be a little quieter - but heaven has become so much richer as she has become a beautiful Angel. I know too that my brother Paul was waiting to greet her with a cold beer in his hand and he now has another drinking partner. I will miss you my friend and until we meet again....we will remain forever friends!!! Love Rachel

My big sista, my friend of over 20+years. My lucy to my ethel, my little latin lupe luu, my buckwheat, my calm down hector, my I do not recall, my squeaky wheel. I will never forget you. We had a great sisterly love. I miss you. To the family. Your Mother meant so much to me. She loved you all so much. There are so many things I can remember from all the times we spent together: Mother backing the girls up with support and an iron fist, the chasing of Veronica around the sofa on Charles, Miguel owning his property on Merkley. Aunt Gordy I will FOREVER miss you! You were so full of enjoyable energy & always upbeat and spunky. Tears are rolling down my eyes as i sit here and listen to Return of the Mack. Your Buckaroo said to me "my Aunt Gordy wouldn't want you to be sad mom". I know that she is right so i decided to have a cold one for you and celebrate your life and all the great memories that i have of my auntie. Its just so soon & i wasn't prepared for this as none of us were. I'm glad to know that you're now an angel looking down upon us.......celebrating with my Grandma Julia, Grandma Maria, Aunt Mini & uncle Jose. Keep your dancing shoes auntie! AS I sit here today, thinking of my friend with a heavy heart. I will cherish our friendship to the end. She didn't have a dime to her name as she would say, but it was her hugs and her big heart that really made her special. I wish I could have done more for my friend. She deserved to enjoy retirement. So, I tell myself she is enjoying all the great things in Heaven. No more, pain, and suffering. My heart aches for her kids, grandkids great grandkids. HOld on to all the great, crazy, fun filled memories. Rest in peace my friend. I miss you dearly. I listen to your message over and over and am so glad we met for lunch and had one last hug.

Sophia and Rene, I am so sorry to hear this news. I loved your mom and can't believe she is gone. I always thought we would have time to catch up during our retirement years. I worked with Aurora at DHS and was very sad to hear of her passing.
Aurora was a very kind and helpful person on earth and I'm sure she is right now in heaven, giving God a hand.
She will be missed but, her family can rest knowing, for how she lived on earth she will be rewarded in heaven.

Aurora's family- what a shock to see that you have lost her. Many years ago I worked with Aurora at the Dept of Alcohol and Drug Programs and more recently at the Dept of Health. She was always the bright spot in the place. And I remember that with Aurora, what you see is what you get! I'm thinking of you as you go through the difficult days and weeks ahead.
