November 8, 1955 - May 25, 2024

Rancho Cordova, California - Barbara Gail Pineda passed away on May 25, 2024 from esophageal cancer. She was born in Los Angeles on November 8, 1955 to Glenn and Helen Coburn and was raised in Rancho Cordova. She graduated from Cordova High School in 1973 and had a career in banking and collections, retiring from Safe Credit Union.

Barbara was the loving mother of Brandon Pineda (Brandy), John Hudson, Jr. (Christina), and Marisa Hudson. Grandmother of Alynia, Damon, Armani, and Teya. Sister of Janice Pluma (William), Martin Coburn (Debbie), Kathleen Cooper (Charles), Mary Pallotti (Greg), and Sharon Lawson (Roy). Aunt of Kristine, Bevan, Erin, Hollee, Timothy, Jeffrey, Roy, and Stephanie. Great-Aunt to Tayler, Dalton, Nickolas, Emilee, Isaiah, Lorenzo, Freya, Astrid, and Natalie. Preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Helen, brother Marty, sister-in-law Debbie, brother-in-law Bill, niece Kristine, nephews Jeffrey and Timothy, and granddaughter Alynia.

Barbara loved music, dancing, and cats. She volunteered with cat rescue organizations for many years and enjoyed her own pet cats. Favorite pastimes were trips to casinos with her mother, cooking for her family, and cheering for the 49ers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Fuji Sacramento, 1235 Broadway in Sacramento.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
