Barbara Siewert Obituary
December 26, 1931 - August 23, 2023
Windsor, California - Barbara Caryol Siewert died on August 23, 2023 at the age of 91, surrounded by her family. She was born in White Lake, South Dakota and moved with her family to Sacramento at a young age where she graduated from McClatchy High School and California State University, Sacramento. Barbara taught at Sierra Junior College and worked for the Roseville Telephone Company retiring as a senior executive assistant.
Barbara's passion for sewing and needlecrafts brought her awards, friendships and adventures. She was active in Del Webb's quilting group and the Placer Dollers where she expanded her skills and gained some of her most treasured friendships plus a 'ton of fun.' She created hundreds of dolls and blanketed her family with beautiful, loving quilts. Her gift for color, creativity and humor shined in her unique creations.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Lyndy Runyon (aka Orlynda) and husband Kenn Runyon, daughter Monica Siewert (husband Carnegie Ouye, Jr. deceased), son Brian Siewert and husband Dana Murphy, son Bradley Siewert and Janet Salomon, and Brad's sons Braden and Brendan. She was preceded in death by her husband Orlon Siewert.

Barbara was my neighbor in Sun City. She was one of the most pleasant and fun friends and always had a project going. She was a master seamstress and quilter. But best of all was her sense of humor and that awesome smile!
