Beatrice HORNER Obituary
Beatrice was born in Blue Rapids, KS on October 12, 1920 to the late Jerome and Beatrice Horner. She passed away on August 4, 2011 in Roseville, CA after a long illness. She grew up in Blue Rapids before attending the University of Denver where she graduated with a degree in Accounting. Joining the Navy in 1943, she reached the rank of Lieutenant before leaving military service to pursue other interests. Beatrice worked in the computer industry for Aramco and then taught in the Fowler School District for 18 years before her retirement. After her retirement, she volunteered at the California State Library, the Rancho Cordova Public Library and the Crocker Art Museum. A viewing for family and friends will be held on August 10 from 2 to 3pm at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, 725-2109).
