Blythe Hewitt

1954 - 2025

Blythe Lynn Hewitt Passed away, surrounded by her friends, on Sept 3, 2025. Blythe was preceded in death by her mother and father, Shirley and Robert Hewitt. Born and raised in Sacramento, Blythe was a beloved member of the tennis community at McKinley Park in East Sacramento. She was known for her kind heart, warm spirit, and unwavering dedication to helping others through her love of the game. Her presence on and off the court touched countless lives. As a devoted physical therapist, she carried that same compassion into her profession, always striving to help others heal and thrive.

Her journey was enriched by the steadfast love and support of her community of friends of Bill W. Blythe's loss will be felt by those she coached and counseled. But most of all, she will be deeply missed by her devoted partner of 50 years, Kathy, and their dear friend Mary Anne, and loyal dog Nash. Theirs was a bond of love, care and shared light. Blythe's kindness will live on in every life she touched. Friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration of life for Blythe at the Sheperd Garden Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd., Sac 95816 on Nov. 18th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a GoFundMe set up to install a memorial bench at McKinley Park.
