Carmen Melton Obituary
With great love and fond memory, Carmen Marlene Melton passed away 3/29/02 at the age of 70 years old. Survived by her brother, Mervin Nicholas, of Portland Oregon; daughter Carlene Lucas of Sacramento; and son Bill Melton of Medford, Oregon. Carmen was a proud grandmother of five, Vinnie and Charles Lucas, Garrett Melton, Monica Holton, and Megan Kimbro, all of Sacramento. Carmen served as a Supervisor in the member service division for Cal-pers, and retired after twenty-five years of service. A active member of the Sacramento Jazz Society, California State Retirees. She volunteered for many organizations, and recently she loved to spend time with Richard Ogdan playing shuffleboard. Memorial Services will be held April 3, 2002, 10am at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd. In lieu of flowers Carmen would want donations to be sent to the SPCA.
