Christelia Warden

1942 - 2025

Christelia Stritzel Warden known to everyone as Chris, was born in Sacramento, CA on December 3, 1942. Chris passed away at the Sutter Roseville Medical Center on December 5, 2025, at the age of 83.

Chris was the beloved daughter of the late Marie A. Stritzel and Charles B. Stritzel. She was the mother of the late Rodney (Mehrdad) Monadjem and the late Sherri (Shamcy) Monadjem.

She was the sister of Elizabeth (Liz) Stritzel Mead (Gerry Mead) and the late William (Bill) Stritzel. She was the aunt of Steven Eugene Rentfrow, the late Debra Marie Rentfrow, Donald Earl Rentfrow (Sahlee Sabillo Rentfrow), and the great-aunt of Sandee, Sam, Sara and Josef Rentfrow.

She is survived by her ex-husband, Darryl Warden, with whom she lived until her passing.

Some of her last words were that family and friends be told that she loves them.

Chris graduated from Sacramento High School in 1960 and was a member of the drill team.

As a young married woman, Chris lived in Iran with her then husband, Farhad Monadjem, and learned to speak the Farsi language. Years later she lived for a time in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she became fluent in Spanish. When she returned to Sacramento she worked as a bilingual eligibility worker for the County of Sacramento.

In retirement Chris had a talent for making beautiful jewelry and was equally creative in other artistic areas. Chris was attractive, gracious, and caring and lived a gracious life. She will be remembered for her kindness and care for others and will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her.

At her request no funeral will be held. Cremation will be carried out by.
