David MINER Obituary

MINER, David
June 25, 1922 - Dec. 29, 2013
David peacefully passed away Dec. 29, 2013. He is survived by his 2 daughters Linda Miner and Carol Bailey (Michael Hill), 3 grandchildren Kim (Mike Urso), Jeff Bailey, and Kevin (Stacey) Miner, 4 great-grandchildren Patrich and Hannah Urso, Robin Bailey, and Corrine Miner, 4 great nieces and nephews, and numerous great great nieces and nephews. Dave also leaves behind his best friend Joan Leforestier and BJ, his four legged walking buddy. He will miss playing golf with his nephew Richard Miner and his other golf buddies. Dave was a Navy veteran of World War II who fought in the Pacific. He worked for Pacific Bell Telephone Company for 32 years. He never met a stranger and everyone he met was a friend. He loved to travel and play softball and golf. He hung up his baseball spikes at 55 and played golf until the end. In passing he joins his beloved wife, Ginger and son Phil. Dave requested no services and we are honoring his wishes.

BJ and I will miss Dave more than we can express in words. Not only did he love to walk BJ, but he brought him ham from his breakfast several days a week. Dave love to discuss everything in detail, we had many late night telephone conversations. I will always remember Dave.
I have put off reading his obituary because I didn't want to admit that he is really gone.
