David VANDERPOOL Obituary

VANDERPOOL, David Keith
Surrounded by those he loved, David Keith Vanderpool passed away peacefully on January 27 2013, at his Rancho Cordova home, after a nine-month battle with cancer. He was 53. David was a well-respected glazier in the Northern California region for 36 years. He worked at Dick's Rancho Glass before striking out on his own in late 2005 to open DVGlass. David had a fire and passion for life. He enjoyed sports, camping, Skippy chunky peanut butter and music with friends and family. He always looked forward to annual trips to Sears Point in Sonoma for NASCAR weekend. He was preceded in death by his father, S. Hoyt Vanderpool; his mother Hazel Vanderpool; sister Sonja Vanderpool; brother Richard 'Rick' Vanderpool. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kelly Vanderpool, their four children, Keith (Kristen) Vanderpool, Cassandra (Martin) Reynolds, Daniel Vanderpool, Michael (Clare) Vanderpool, his two grandchildren, Madeline and Chloe Reynolds, as well as his loving sister, Rhonda (Brian) Stewart. A celebration of David's life will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks on Saturday, February 9 2PM. A reception will follow at American River Grange Hall at 2720 Kilgore Road, Rancho Cordova.

To the Vanderpool Family, my memories of your husband, father & grandfather are very fond. David was a fabulous father and I always admired that in him. When he connected with his soul mate, Kelly, you could see that his world became brighter! Although it has been many years since our paths have crossed, some people make a lasting impression on us that we hold dearly in our hearts, and that David did, and you Kelly as well as your children. I am so sorry for the loss of this, your wonderful man, far too young. May fond memories, and the love of family and friends, be the strength that helps you through this very heartbreaking time, and the many days and years to come. Love and blessings to each and every one of you!

If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together...there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think, but the most important thing is, even if we're apart...I'll always be with you.
