RIDEOUT, Dean Roger
Of Galt was called home to the Lord on May 27, 2005 at the age of 69. Mr. Rideout was born in Mineral Point, Wisconsin on November 14, 1935. He moved to California in 1985, settling in Galt. He was self-employed as a trucker for at least 53 years. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, being with his grandchildren, particularly at games, and fellowship time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Galt. He was very active in the Joseph Project at Family Life Church in Galt. He belonged to the NRA, VFW, American Patriot, active in World Vision and a devoted Republican. Mr. Ride-out is survived by his wife, Marjorie Rideout of Galt; children, Rhonda Rideout of Madison, WI, Kevin (Angela) Rideout of Dodgeville, WI, Marshall (Cheryl) Krebs of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Lonnie Krebs of New Glarus, WI, Julie (Huey) Kelley of Galt , Jason (Jackie) Harris of Valley Springs and Demetria (Martin) Olivia of Lodi; adopted World Vision daughter, Soboko of South Africa; brother, Howard Ride-out of Dodgeville, WI and sister, Elenor (Hiram) Grover of Mesa, AZ; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy, Lloyd, Wayne, and Blaine Rideout and beloved grandson, Joshua Krebs. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 1:00pm at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Galt. There will also be a memorial service held in Wisconsin. There is no visitation, and interment will be in Wisconsin. Memorial contributions may be made to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 604 "E" Street, Galt, CA 95632.
