Dennis Francis Shorrock

Placerville, California - The Shorrock family lost one of its own on November 30, 2025. Dennis Francis Shorrock was the third son of Robert and Margaret Shorrock, and the first sibling out of the original five to pass away. Dennis was born on May 11, 1950, and was a fourth generation Sacramentan. He was part of a large family with deep roots in the Sacramento area.

He attended St. Ignatius Grammar School (1956-1964), El Camino High School (1964-1968), and Idaho State University where he played football on a full ride scholarship. After graduation Dennis proudly served for eight years as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, finishing his career for over forty four years as a Commercial Real Estate Broker. He was a long time member of the Sutter Club, The Grandfather's Club along with The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.

Dennis is survived by his three children, Tana (Masoud), Rocko (Nicki), and Patrick (Amy). Grandchildren, Natalie, Noelle, Ella, Liam, Rowan, Aurora, Cora, Nick, Zack; and great-grandchild Ryker. Brothers Robert (Cynthia), Patrick (Phyllis), Michael (Kris); and sister Molly (Dominique); and many nieces and nephews.

A GIANT of a man with a generous loving heart, strength beyond compare, true loyalty and a clever sense of humor, DFS was adored by all.

Grandpa D, as he was lovingly known to us, courageously battled pancreatic cancer and passed peacefully with his family.

Per his request, private memorial service will be for family only.
