Dick Hemsted Obituary
Passed away at his ranch in Anderson, CA, Friday, May 20th, 2005, at the age of 81. Dick was born July 16, 1923, and was a native and life long resident of Redding, CA. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, June Hemsted, two sons Gary and Flint Hemsted both of Cottonwood, CA, and sister Mildred Summerfield of Marin County, CA. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 26th, 2005, at 1:00 PM at the Anderson District Fairgrounds.

It was in 1962 that I was on the comity for the Ruth Lake Rodeo Club to locate someone who had a few head of stock. One of our members stated that he heard that there was a guy over in Anderson,Ca. that might be interested in bringing a few head of his over for our rodeo.That was over forty years ago. Dick put on such a great show, that he came back every since then.I have met Dick many times and his wife also. June, hang in there. You lost a great man, Barbara and I send our love over to you "Bud"
