Dolores Cruz Obituary
September 7, 1936 - April 6, 2024
Clarksburg, California - Dolores passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side. Dolores was born to Leonard and Consuelo Torres in San Bernardino.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred of 65 years, her brothers Frank, Charlie, Leonard, Tony, Pete and Jesse, and sister MaryEllen, sons Fred Jr. and Billy, and her grandson Brandon.
She is survived by her brother Richard, two daughters Susan (Dave) and Diana, 5 grandchildren, Jilian(Brad), Tess (Ross), Bryan(Rebecca), Jeremiah and Jessica( Jeremy) and her 12 great grandchildren Benjamin, Karsten, Graysen, Nathaniel, Addison, Warren, Remington, Tanner, Emma, Greta, Jolie and Joseph.
Dolores was a strong and amazing woman. She was self taught to cook the most amazing Mexican food and crocheted beautiful blankets, hats and scarfs. She was always one to have fresh made tortillas in the kitchen and enough food(burritos) to feed anyone stopping by. Dolores enjoyed shopping and playing with her great grand-babies. That could always bring a smile to her face.
Dolores had endless love for her family, to know her was a blessing. No one could have asked for a better Wife, Mom, or Ana "Grandma". As the family matriarch, she was generous, kind, and thoughtful, with an understated, witty sense of humor, if you knew her, you loved her and she will forever be in our hearts.
Mass will be held at Noon, Thursday May 2, 2024 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Walnut Grove CA (14012 Walnut Ave) with a reception to follow at Grand Island Vineyards (12484 CA-160).
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Clarksburg Fire Department.
