Donald Uhouse Obituary

April 25, 2018 Donald Uhouse Passed away quietly after a brief battle with cancer. One thing about Don is that he did not like asking people to help him to do things. He would say, "If I ever get to the point that I can't do things on my own then I know that they are calling my name upstairs!" On the outside he appeared to be a tough guy. On the inside, he was made of cotton candy. He loved his family and nature and the living things around him and he had a lot of compassion for weak and the children. Don worked hard all his life. He started out growing up on a 300 acre farm with his parents, Mary and Michael Uhouse, brothers: Michael, Victor and David and sister, Ronnie. Victor, and David are the only surviving siblings. Don joined the United States Army for four years married Marcia and had five children. His children are; Julie and Kevin Glover (Britney and Kevin Jr), James J and Monica Uhouse (Lena), Donald C Uhouse Jr ( Becky and Harmony), Donna and Daniel Cabral (Melissa), and Anthony E Uhouse (Deceased). During this time Donald moved his family to California and worked for the United States Air Force at Mc Clellan as a supervisor for Egress Ordinance for 38 years. Donald and Marcia divorced and Donald met Alicia Gayle (Ricky Gayle, Joe Gayle (Deliliah), Renee Gayle) through a mutual friend. They soon decided that they had a lot in common and decided to get married. Both of them wanted to leave California and find someplace else to retire to. They decided that they would retire to Fernley, Nevada. Here they made a home with their adored dog Nicky. Nicky went everywhere with them. Nicky was so spoiled that he got special steaks for dinner. Sadly, Nicky passed away two weeks prior to Dons passing. Don will be reunited with his youngest son Anthony, his son-in-law Daniel and his dog Nicky. He will not be alone. He promised to be watching over us and to be keeping us safe. We love you, Dad. Services will be held Thursday May 17 @ 4;30 pm at the Sacramento County Deputy Sheriff's Association Office located at 640 Bercut Drive Sacramento, Ca. 95811.

This is the great man who took his time and raised me when I had no one else. with my grandmother, Alicia since I was very young. Most days are spent remembering his laugh and it makes me smile. He has taught me so much and I try to continue his teachings... sending love to a dear father figure of mine.

May God Bless Doald Uhouse and his family.
He was my Boss at McCllean AFB in the Egress & weapons shop for 15 wonderfull young years. He was always full of Life in every way, with something different going on everyday. He was always funny and easy to get along with, even when things went wrong. He was one of the best supervisors I ever had and I feel fortunate to have known and work for him. I just retired this year with 40yrs 10months and I must say with honesty the first 15yrs with Don were the Best! Don Uhouse was a great and wonderful Man, may he rest in peace.

A good friend has left us for now, one day we will meet again my good friend. You were like a father to me and I learned of ways of the spiritual from you. May the Heavenly Father shine his light on you and smile that some someone special has come home to rest......
