Donna Lines Obituary

Donna was born December 19th, 1945 in Sacramento CA. She passed away July 14th, 2016. Her faith in God gave her the courage and strength to face her brief battle with cancer with no fear. DeeDee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She also loved and cared deeply about her friends. She graduated from Rio Linda High School class of 1963. She worked for the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce and retired from the State Franchise Tax Board. She loved her humming birds, going to Thunder Valley and spending time with her beloved grandson James. Proceeded in death by her parents Glynn and Muriel O'Brien, brothers Leonard and Mickey, sisters Gloria and Elizabeth. Survived by her devoted husband of 40 years Gilbert, daughter Stacy, grandson James, brother Ritchey, sisters Linda and Glenda. DeeDee was loved deeply by family and friends. Her smile, laughter and sparkling redheaded sprit will be missed by all. At her request there will be no service. A celebration of her life will be at a later date.

I met Donna at an english class we both took in the mid 70s. We've been friends a long, long time. Loved her smile and beautiful red hair. Gil, Stacy & James - you were so fortunate to have her in your lives. God bless you all. I will miss her so much. Goodbye dear friend.

Donna was truly a wonderful person. She was one of my favorites at the Thunder Valley Cafe where I work. We had lots of laughs and always asked about my grand babies! I do miss seeing your face Donna! Much love to you Gilbert.

Stacy, I met your beautiful mom in 1977 while we were working for the Department of Rehabilitation. We had so much fun, in and out of the office. Her beautiful, bright smile lit up the room. She knew my Aunt Twylene from both Rio Linda and work. Donna and I reconnected at the Franchise Tax Board and remained friends until she retired. I am so sorry for your loss...
