Cousins & Sorors toasting 100 years and Oneil's birthday

Cousin and Soror-Yvette,
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I so wanted to be there with you. But, health and youth obligations interfered with my plans.
You have done a great job of taking care of your mother and preparing for her home going. So, weep not. She is not dead. She's resting in the bosom of Jesus. She has lived and labored long in God's vineyard and among our people. She is in his arms now. He has taken his own hand and wiped away her tears. He has smoothed the furrows from Dorothy's face. All suffering is gone. And now that our Soror is an Ivy Beyond the Wall, the angels in heaven are singing her favorite song as Jesus is rocking her in his arms. I can imagine him telling her that she can take her rest now.
Although you are grief stricken, know that she's only just gone home. And we can live and look forward to the time that you and I will see her again and God. What a day of rejoicing that will be! Live for that day. It will be the Family Reunion of all Reunions!
We love you!

I am praying for all of you all and I know that God is able to do exceedingly above all that we ask of Him and to keep all that we entrust to Him. So, give Him all your cares, pain, sadness and loss. He can keep you and give you strength, joy and bring you to His rest.

Yvette:
Your Mother was one of the strongest black females I ever met in my life. I will always remember her and will cherish some of the long conversations we had when we were in our teens.
I know it is hard but you will find that she will live on as long as you keep her in your heart.

Dear Yvette,
God is in control and makes no mistakes. It doesn't always go in order, our mother, the oldest sister is 88 and still alive, but He requested for Dorothy to come home.
Aunt Deloise is feeling the lost of your mother and her sister and regrets she's not physically able to be there, but extends her sympathy and will continue to keep you in her thoughts and prayers.
We know Dorothy loved family and we loved her. She always enjoyed going out in Houston with me and William (long time ago--huh?) smile. If you never knew this..Dorothy didn't want her older nieces calling her Aunt Dorothy. So she was Dorothy with the black hair and the nieces with the gray hair.
Yvette, may you find Peace, Strength and Comfort in knowing that God cares for all of us and will see you through these difficult days, as we will meet her again "In That Great Gettin' Up Morning. "
Remember -God loves you and will never leave you along --count on GOD to carry you through.
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1
Keep your mother's memories alive in your heart and "GO ON".
Love and care for you,
Your cousin,
Vera

Yvette,
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.” Psalms 23:1-3a
I pray that these words from the Psalmist will help you to find comfort and peace, now and in the days ahead.
The past few years have been enriched as I have been fortunate to get to know you and Cousin Dorothy a little better as relatives and sorority sisters. I thank the Lord for the opportunity he provided this past March for us to spend time together in Sacramento. We had a great fellowship. It is in times like these that we are reminded of how important it is to slow down and enjoy the people God has placed in our life.
I will continue to pray for you and all of our family members as we remember and celebrate the home going of Dorothy. She is at peace in the arms of the Savior.
Yours in Christ,
Etta

Dear Yvette,
Our family is praying God's strength during your time of mourning the loss of your mother, Dorothy. During this time I pray that God allows you to focus on the joys and celebratory times that brings a smile on your face and lifts your spirits. Our journeys on this earth is not for us but for God to get the Glory. We see the works that Dorothy has done for the Kingdom of God and will celebrate her life and know that she is in a better place. We will continue to lift you up in prayer and know that you will receive strength in knowing you are covered with the prayers of your family.
In the daily bread the quote is as follows: The hardships we experience, the trails that we face, will teach us that we're strongest when we're trusting in God's grace. May the peace of Christ be with you and you be covered with God's grace and Mercy.

Dear Yvette,
You have been in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers during this time of sorrow. We will miss and cherish the memory of our "Aunt Dorothy".
You have always been a very special cousin to me, more like a little sister. Since you did not have any siblings, I will alwys be your "big sis".
Dorothy loved our family and honored the legacy and memory of our Grandparents "Bishop and Gladys Williams". Dorothy celebrated many happy memorable family events with us and some sad ones also. She influenced and touched our lives. Dorothy always encouraged you and everyone to do your best and strive to be better. You never worried about what Dorothy thought because she always spoke her mind.
We will always remember the fashionable Dorothy. I admired her flair and loved the beautiful clothes/costumes she made all her life. Dorothy influenced my life; I was a tailor and fashion designer during my college years.
May you find comfort in GOD's word during this time of sorrow. Remember GOD makes no mistakes, HE was ready for her to go home. We will miss our aunt.
Lots of Love and Prayers,
Your cousin-"big sister" and family, Bernadette, Jesse, Jesse, II Rochell, Melanie Yvette and Heath James
