I always remember that at the end of June he would let us know that he was flying home to Ireland for his vacation. So sorry to here of his passing. Prayers for his family and all the lives of who's lives he touched through the church.

Dear Pat and John and families, I get this little reminder every year from the Legacy site. It warms me to remember your brother and to have enjoyed his unique example as one of God's beloved sons. Life is still good here in California in spite of all the things about which I am sure your brother would have had many poignent things to say. He was uniquely accepting of my own peculiar brand of faith and that always touched me with a special connection that warms my memories with him. I hope you and all yours are enjoying the richness of life and love as we all continue our journey back to him one of these days. God bless us all and our respective countries as we all strive for peace and good will when there seems we could use some extra measures of both. Diane Sorensen [email protected]

I thank God for the memories I have of Fr. Ned. I hope his family continues to see the fruits of his presence and labors with them. Thank you for remembering him to me once again. Father O'Hara, may your journey to learning and growing into the essence of our holy Universal Father continue with wonder and joy.

I still have difficulty accepting his absence from this life. I considered him a true minister to my life. He left us during what might have been a time of Lent like now. I know he would have loved to have been able to see the spring flowers pushing up their sleepy heads. I will always remember that no matter what he would say in his homily, he would always urge us to get out and "enjoy this beautiful day" I can hear him saying it in my mind and he is still reminding me to "enjoy this beautiful day" Thank you for sustaining him with your love, you friends and family...he really appreciated that love. I know he was happy being home and enjoying life during a well deserved rest. Please know he is still in my heart.

I remember Fr. O'Hara walking across the school playground and a swarm of kids surrounding him. Holy Cross was his first parish, I remember his Irish brogue and the mischievous glint in his eyes. He was truly a wonderful representative of what and how a priest should be. I could go on but I'll end by saying proudly I loved him from the age of six forward.

Thank you Father O'Hara for being a part of my life while attending Holy Cross School. You always took time to toss us kids in the air and catch us. You will be missed.
