Edward T. Piotrowski, 61, went home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2003. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Sumner. He resided in Puyallup, Washington moving there from Orangevale, CA in 2000. Ed was born on June 2, 1942, in Webster, Massachusetts, to Anthony and Jennie Piotrowski (both deceased). He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Marjorie Marie of Puyallup, Washington; sons Eric Gene (Jennifer) Piotrowski of Elk Grove, California; Aaron Lee Piotrowski and John Robert Piotrowski, both of Virginia; stepchildren Veronica L. (Tom) Hansen of Rohnert Park, California; Gregory C. (Debbie) Loughlin of Saluda, California; Geoffrey W. Loughlin of Clinton, Utah; Morgan S. Loughlin of Puyallup, Washington; Maureen C. (Scott) MacKenzie of Bellingham, Washington; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brothers Robert Piotrowski (Jeanne) of Waterbury, Vermont, and Joseph Piotrowski (Lucille) of Three Rivers, Massachusetts. Ed attended St. Joseph's Grammar School and following graduation from Bartlett High School in 1960, Ed enlisted in the Air Force. He proudly served six years and saw duty in the Vietnam arena. Ed also served two years in the Navy from 1967-1969. In 1977, Ed joined the Air Force Reserves as an A.R.T. with the 940th at Travis AFB and later, with the 4th Air Force at McClellan AFB in California. He retired from the Reserves in 1998. In 2000, Ed moved to Washington to work at the Western Air Defense Sector (WADS) at McChord AFB. He retired on June 2, 2003. Ed loved all kinds of music and he loved to sing. While he lived in Orangevale, California, Ed sang with a number of choral groups which was a great pleasure for him. He was a past member of S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. in the Folsom Harmony Express Chapter where he sang baritone for the Barbershop Quartet "Tradition." Ed sang with the Fair Oaks Village Singers in the early 1990's, followed by several years as a baritone/bass for the Sacramento Valley Concert Choir. When he moved to Puyallup, Ed sang for a Christmas season with the Tapestry group, then joined The Valley Chorale as a baritone/bass. He has enjoyed his years with this wonderful group of singers who have become extended family. Ed enjoyed hiking, biking, live theater, the symphony and sailing his sailboat at every opportunity when he wasn't singing, playing his guitar or harmonica, or playing a prank on one of his friends. Edward T. Piotrowski-beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather and great grandfather, loyal, loving friend-too soon gone home. Ed heroically battled Acute Leukemia and T-cell Lymphoma for 18 months. His deep faith in God was an inspiration to all those who knew him. He is loved and will be missed by many. A Memorial Service was held at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Sumner, Washington on June 9, 2003.
