Elizabeth Angell

1959 - 2017

Elizabeth Cecilia Angell, 58, beloved daughter of the late Vincent and Margaret Angell, passed away on August 16, 2017 in Sacramento, California due to cardiac arrest. Family and friends will remember Liz for her happy smile, friendly personality, sense of humor, and her love of travel, family, friends, and animals. Liz was born in Ukiah, California on June 8, 1959. She graduated from St. Mary's School, Ukiah High, and University Nevada in Reno. She worked at Nevada Bell after graduation, subsequently moving to Sacramento in 2003, working at PG&E until her death. Liz was a proud lifetime member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. She is survived by her brother and sisters, Jim Angell, Sue Angell and Cathy Angell Sohn, her nieces and nephews, Karen Elizabeth Sohn Kopp, Jenny Sohn Gallo, Danny and Timmy Kastelic, Katie Elizabeth Kastelic Quartieri, cousins, Cecilia Angell Cornejo, Michelle Angell Duron, Mary Cele Tigh, Rory, George, Jeff, and Kevin Hodsdon, Helene, Karen (Charleson), and Tom Twyford, sister-in-law, Lisa Angell, brother-in-law, John Sohn and extended family: Kevin Quartieri, Vinnie Gallo, Geesh Kopp, Lilly Velasquez-Hodsdon, Betty Maxey Hodsdon, Ian Charleson, Brittany Craker, Vianey Twyford. Visitation will be Thursday, August 24th from noon - 4pm at Gormley & Sons Funeral Home, 2015 Capital Avenue, Sacramento. A funeral service in Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, August 26th at 1pm in The Chapel at Gormley Funeral Home with a reception to follow. Burial will be Monday, August 28, 2017 at 1pm in The Russian River Cemetery in Ukiah, next to her parents.
