Dear Roz & Digi, a Mother is a treasure and hard to loose . No one can tell you how to feel, but knowing "Elsie" and having her accept me as a family member will always be special to me. Elsie May was a light that was put into your lives & shall always remain there. Some folks would be so lucky to have had what you all did. I wish you all loving memories to carry you through the years ahead. Sincerely, Karen Silva

Mother,

It has been a year already since you have left us. Your physical presence is not here but your spiritual one is. I cannot begin to tell you how much I miss you. It has been difficult, but you have left me and our family with such wonderful and funny memories! Everything I am as a woman is contributed to you and I am honored to have been born to you. You taught me to be strong and to be a good mother. I hope that I was a good daughter to you. I miss our telephone calls, several times a day. I miss your unbelievable wit and honesty. We had so much fun with you! We mention something funny or a "Nani-ism" daily. Thank you for giving my children and grandchildren such a beautiful gift of being their grandmother. I miss you more than you know.

Love, your daughter Roz

It's been 7 months and words can't even begin to express how much we miss you! You were the best Grandmother, Mother, Sister, Auntie, Counsin & Friend anyone could ever have. You taught me so much Nan and I want to thank you for helping me become a strong independent woman. I was truly blessed to have you as my Grandmother and as my "FRIEND". I love and miss you Elizabeth!

Dear family, I can't express how much your mom and grandmother meant to me. I always felt we had a connection of some kind with her. I always looked forward to Elsie and Tillie coming to see us on the Cape. The season always flew by and they were always busy with there dances. I was lucky to catch up with them a few times a year. I loved Elsie voice too and will hold it in my memory. I see are birthdays were only one day apart maybe that's the connection aside from being family, both being Libras. I had wanted so much for my kids to meet her but for $ reasons it never was to be. I hope we don't loose touch. I am in touch with Carli on MySpace and Gingi and Vinc on facebook along with a few others. Please look for me. I would love to catch up with you and your lives.Love and peace ,

Aunty,

Even when I didn't see you,
I always felt your smile.
The strength of your Spirit traveled,
over many distant miles.
Like Sunshine in your pocket
that warms you on a whim-
A spitfire in a spritely frame,
that never seemed to dim.
Power in a small package,
with a heart as big as a Giant
Will, as strong as steel,
and energy, just as defiant.
A shooting star in shadowed blue skies,
you shower the Night in a bright glow
The guiding light to our travels
you canopy us in love wherever you go.

I will miss you....

Mother...where do I begin? You have truly, truly made me the woman I am today. What am I going to do without you? You have made our lives so rich with your teachings and your laughter and honesty. Everything I learned as a mother, came from you. You helped to raise Cheyenne & Carly every step of the way and I couldn't have done it without you. My children and grandchildren were so, so very fortunate to experience what I had as a child in you. They will forever miss you as I will. I'm so blessed that they bonded with you in a way that was so special. I hope as a daughter, I showed you how much I love you and appreciated everything you ever did for me. A hole in my heart will never close, but I know you are at peace. I will be with you someday, and know that I love you with all my heart. Missing you...Roz

You have been a wonderful example of how a grandma should be. You were honest, comical, and you loved your family unconditionally. Thank you for sharing some of your favorite recipes with me. I will keep the meals in rotation :)I am glad that you were able to live your life to the fullest. Your wonderful sayings will always stay with me forever. Don't worry I will keep your Grandson from going on his late night runs to Walgreens. We know how you felt about that:)
