Esther Baca-Posey Obituary

Of Citrus Heights CA., born in Powell, Wyoming 6-28-41 entered into Heaven on 4-10-17. Esther was a graduate of San Juan High School class of 1959. She was a long time resident of Citrus Heights and worked as a beautician after high school. She later worked at American Olean Tile, and then retired from Kaiser Permanente. Esther loved her house on Rusch Park and her door was always open for family and friends. She had a knack for cooking and Mexican food was her specialty. She was born to Gonzalo Baca and Emma Padilla Baca both from New Mexico. They settled as a family in Citrus Heights in 1942 where she lived until her passing. Esther was the eldest of 52 first cousins and oldest sister to Robert Baca and Eva Baca Krueger. She is survived by her children Dan Nichols of San Antonio, TX., Mark Nichols of Carmichael, CA. and Jennifer Nichols Thomas of Roseville, CA, grandchildren Christian and Casey Nichols, Nicholas and Emma Thomas and hundreds of family members, friends and loved ones. Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Citrus Heights Friday 4-21-17 10:00 am, reception to follow.

Condolences to Esther's family. So sorry for your loss! Attended high school and beauty school with her and just saw her in Oct. at school reunion. Hard to believe she is gone. She will be missed!

I am so sorry that Esther's family and friends have lost her so soon.We had such a great time for years working together at DeBonEt Beauty Salon,she had such a great family there.We all shared all the ups & downs of our young lives.Esther had the sweetest,kindest ways with people.I am so glad to have known her.You will be missed so much by so many.
