Eugene Carson Obituary

Eugene was born December 8, 1922 in Chicago, IL to Polish and Greek immigrants. He made stops along the way in El Monte, Baldwin Park, West Covina, San Diego, Reno, Fair Oaks and Kelsey, CA. He was surrounded by family, at home, when he passed peacefully Friday, January 3rd. Eugene graduated from El Monte High School and obtained a BS from Whittier College. Eugene served in the 15th Division of the Army Air Corps from 1942 - 1946. He was a 33rd degree Mason of the Hiram Lodge No. 25 and a Shriner of the Al Malikah and Ben Ali Shrine Clubs. Eugene was the founder of Kit Construction Co, Inc., a homebuilding company started in 1951, building in his lifetime throughout the state of California. He was a continuous member of the California State Building Industry Association. He was an active member of the Georgetown Divide Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Hannelore; and their children, Eugene Jr. (Stefanie); Lyn Hall (Jim); Chris Skelly (Patrick); Tim Riggs (Shari); Kathi Stone (Gary); Debby Riggs-Younger (Court); Mervin (Mary); Michael (Cindy), eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a viewing on Tuesday, January 7th from 3 to 5 pm and a funeral ceremony Wednesday, January 8th at 10:30 am, both at Green Valley Mortuary, 3004 Alexandrite Road, Rescue, CA. Donations in his memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA. 95817.

Eugene, well Senior ;) I will sadly miss our special bond we made that Christmas night in the hospital after your heart attack years ago. I smile now remembering how I was trying not to make you laugh as you had to keep hugging your pillow… Rest in peace my friend. Love you, Mo
