Filomena Blaemire Obituary
(1923 - 2008) Passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on August 21, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Rae Blaemire and her sister Teresa Coquim. She is survived by her daughter Flavia Carbone (Sam), grandsons Chris Carbone and David Carbone (Annette), granddaughter's Taylor Ann and Corrie Nicole, nieces Marilia Wiget (Robert) and Victorina Freed. Also many additional nieces and nephews. Retired employee of the California Almond Growers and former member of the Portuguese Historical and Cultural Society. Friends are welcome for visitation Friday, August 29, 2008, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with the Vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the GEORGE L KLUMPP CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, Riverside Boulevard and 2nd Avenue. Friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Anthony's Church, 660 Florin Road. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Dear Flavia, Sam & Family
So sad to hear of your mom's passing. When we were kids she
was like a second mom to me.
When my grandparents lived downstairs on "T" Street, and you lived upstairs, we were constantly in touch and/or doing things togeher.
In our teen years when I called the house, your mom would have me believing I was talking to you (Flavia), sounding so much alike and having lots of laughs about that. In growing up Flavia and I were like sisters and always at each other's homes, going places and doing things together, etc. We were close like actual related family members. I also remember your mom would always take us to the State Fair at the Old Fairgrounds and we would have those great turkey sandwiches. We all shared many great times together in our younger years - Those were the days !
While we have lost touch through the years, and things in life change, I hope we can remain in touch. Life is way too short to not keep the connection with lifelong friends.
So many delightful memories and so sad my second mom is gone now. My
mom sends her sympathies also, for we were all like family.
My husband and I also send our condolences. We wish you peace and happy memories of the years and times spent together with your mom.
