Florence Ruppin Obituary
RUPPIN, Florence Gladys
Born November 2, 1912, in Oakland, Calif., she passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on December 15, 2006. She was a graduate of Sacramento High School, Class of 1930. A retiree from the City of Sacramento in 1974, Gladys served as executive secretary for 31 years to four consecutive city managers. She was a past queen of Job's Daughters Bethel #53, past matron of El Camino Chapter OES, and a past queen of Daughters of the Nile #16. Preceded in death by husband Milton and sister Constance Lombard, she is survived by her loving sister Winnifred Stevens and was a beloved aunt to six nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, Dec. 20, from 5:00-8:00 PM and the funeral service on Thursday, Dec. 21, at 2:00 PM, both at NORTH SACRAMENTO FUNERAL HOME, 725 El Camino Ave., Sacramento. Entombment to follow at East Lawn Memorial Park, 43rd and Folsom Blvd., Sacramento.
