Fran was one-of-a-kind in all of the very best ways. She was generous, hilarious, and more energetic than people half her age. I met her during an interview and will be forever grateful that she hired me. I learned so much from her and, in addition to being the gold-standard among bosses and mentors, she and Bill became our friends. Little did either she or I know that the step into that role would catapult me upon a career path I would have never imagined. That early support, encouragement, and wisdom continue to propel me to this day. Chris and I are deeply saddened by this news and send our love and condolences to Bill and the boys. Lives fortunate enough to be touched by this special lady have all been for the better because of her. We love you Fran-your beaming, contagious smile continues light the way for all of us to live and love life to the fullest.

Fran was the first person I met when I moved to Sacramento in 1987. She and Bill became my dearest friends and they are the Godparents of my oldest child- Haley. I miss you my sweet Fran.
