Frank Yanez Obituary

Frank Ruano Yanez, aged 83, went home to be with the Lord October 3, 2011. Frank worked for over 30 years in the Mt. Shasta/McCloud area as a lumber grader. Frank's overwhelming purpose in life was simply to take care of his family and being a "Nonno" to his 9 grandchildren. Frank will be remembered by his family and friends as a caring, loving, hardworking man of integrity who simply enjoyed "never stopping." Frank is survived by his sons Frank and David, his daughter Kathy, and his 9 grandchildren. Frank will be buried at a private ceremony in Mt. Shasta. A time for celebration of Frank's life will be held at Bayside Church, 8171 Sierra College Blvd. Building B, Roseville, CA on Saturday, October 8 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Frank's memory to Autism Speaks, 5455 Wilshire Blvd. #2250 Los Angeles, CA 90036.

For many years now, Frank was always included in the Colwell family gatherings, too--an extra nonno, always bringing a smile and helping hands, always positive and loving. When David married my sis, Cathy, we Colwells all gained a connection to another wonderful family. He will be remembered fondly, and missed as a welcomed member of the extended Colwell family, too.

My sincerest condolences to all of the Yanez family, and my apologies for having to miss his celebration of life. Please know that my thoughts were with you, and I wish him Godspeed on his journey home.

Frank, David & Kathy,
My thoughts & prayers are with you through these trying times. Your dad was a kind & gentle man who had a good outlook on life and he will be remembered in our hearts. May he be at rest in the heavens with your mother looking down on us with his great smile.
May God Bless you & your families.
Love, Albert J. Valdez
