Fred NEILSON Obituary
05/02/1944 - 01/27/2014
Fred lost his gallant battle of several years on 1/27/14 at MGH. Born at MGH as a preemie, he was a fighter to the very end. He served with the Navy and was proud to be attached to the Marine Corps. in the Veitnam Era. Fred retired from SCUSD where he worked tirelessly to better the lives of students and parents. Fred was the beloved husband of Marsha, cherished father of Holly and Ross and will be missed by many loving family and friends, including his faithful dog Gracie. Interment and memorial service will be held Feb. 7, 2014 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd. Dixon CA. at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers family request donations go to Precious Den Animal Shelter Inc. PO BOX 514 Herald, CA 95638 or the Animal Rescue of your choice.

Big Shoes to Fill but we are gonna sure try and provide a huge support system to Marcia, Gracie and Family...I knew Fred long before Precious Den's Animal Shelter was even in existence...Our branch of law enforcement worked very closely to the Sacramento City School District,...then we got more involved with the SARB Programs and got to work with you during the school sleepovers at the Zoo...Fred you were so easy going and rolled with what new adventures Marsha brought to you in the past 30 years...God Love You Wonderful Man and know we will treasure our last meeting at Kobasics on December 21, 2013...Your smile, the way you petted Gracie, what a trouper...you taught us all to embrace life until the very end...we are so sorry for your children and the rest of your family's loss. Your loss is going to sting for years to come, dear friend. Love and Praises, Miss MItch Prefach.
