Gerald Copren Obituary

COPREN, GERALD AUGUSTUS
Native of California. Born in Sierraville, March 11, 1911. Died in Sacramento, February 12, 2002 at the age of 90. Graduated from San Juan High School in 1929. Lived in Sacramento for most of 70 years. Survived by Violet, his loving wife of 47 years; brother, Kenneth of Reno; sons, Robert and Clifford; daughters-in-law, Marjorie and Donna; stepdaughter, Barbara; stepson, Donald; granddaughter, Sheila Nicki Parker; grandson, Cris Copren; and many other adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was employed at McClellan AFB during and after WWII as an Aircraft Mechanic and Production Planner in Industrial Engineering until his retirement in 1973. He was a longtime member of Seniors in Retirement SIRS #42 and a member of the San Juan Alumni Association. He was a kind, honorable, principled, dedicated, distinguished true gentleman who loved and cherished his family and many friends. We will truly miss him. Rest the rest of the worthy, Dad. We love you. Family and friends are invited to attend his Visitation, February 16, 2002 at 10am with a Graveside Service to follow at 11am, both at East Lawn Memorial Park, 43rd & Folsom Blvd. Sacramento, Ca.
