Mary was such a strong woman who stood up for herself, her children, and other people she felt were not being treated fairly or with justice. She was an important person in my mother's life, and I appreciated being with her whenever I got the chance. She had the courage to even go in directions much of the family did not, and that gave me strength to do the same. So glad I had the opportunity to know her.
