Gloria Terpak Obituary

TERPAK, Gloria Jean
Nov 30, l938-May 11, 2007
Age 68, of Roseville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2007. She was surrounded by family and is in pain no more. Gloria was born in Philipsburg Osceola Hospital; she is the daughter of the late Richard Henwood and Alice Croyle Henwood. Gloria married Paul Terpak, who survives in Bellefonte. She graduated from high school, then attended Lock Haven University. Gloria worked in real estate all of her life and also taught Real Estate at Penn State. She owned her own real estate office for years and then was a top producer for Trend West and Pacific Monarch. She was a golfer and was the Women's Club Champion for three years straight and then several more at the Philipsburg Country Club. She was an avid tennis player and competed up until two weeks before her death. She loved sports. Especially collegiate sports. And the love of her Notre Dame "Fighting Irish." Gloria is survived by one daughter, Barbara Tingley of Roseville, Calif., by two sons, Paul Terpak and Pat Terpak, both of Bellefonte, Pa, by three sisters, Rita Thompson, Jo Minarchick and Sue Jones, all of Philipsburg, and by three grandchildren, Lauren, Casie, and Brooke. Along with her parents Gloria was preceded in death by one brother, Jax Henwood. Services and burial were on Thursday, May l7, in Philipsburg, Penn. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to American Cancer Society or, as many of you have asked, to her granddaughter Casie's school sent to the Girls Basketball, Volleyball or Soccer Program in Memory of Gloria as she never missed one of her sporting events. Send to Athletic Director, Woodcreek High School, Woodcreek Oaks Blvd., Roseville, CA 95747.

To my beautiful angel
You are the reason I keep my head held high
You are my inspiration and for you I will stay strong
You will forever be with me
Every discussion I make will go through you
I'll tell you about all the stupid boys who like me and I will work my hardest in basketball
I dedicate my seasons to you
you are a part of me...without you in my heart I am not whole
I feel like I have a special guardian angel looking out just for me
You are forever a part of me
I love you Grandma
Love always, your little bird;
Casie

Gloria was a joy to work with, and to be around. She was always honest, and would tell it how it is. A strong woman who will be missed by Paula and I.

Barb and Family,
I wanted you to know, again, how sorry it was to hear about your Mom. I will remember her as very outspoken; she told it like it was. And for that, I admired her.

Dear Barb, Mark, Lauren, Casie and family-

So sorry to hear of your Mom and Grandmother's loss. Every time I came to your home for the last several years in fact you always talked about your Mom, or better yet she popped her head in to say hi. It was so obvious that she was loved and a huge part of your family. Even to her last few days you were planning how to make her comfortable and cared for in your home. I know that you will miss her very much and just want to say that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am thankful that you have many great memories and happy times to reflect upon as life moves you forward.

With much love and respect;

Lesa Johnson
