Memories of long ago
of when kids were small
Lively happy gatherings
Good times shared by all

In the midst of all the joy
A woman stood out most
Giving, sharing, helping, (baking!:-)
"Grandma" as she was known

The years went by
Loved ones grown, some gone
Small ones now grown up
The christmas cookie memories
Distant but not lost

The time has come to say goodbye
Letting go is hard for sure
But the memories and love she shared
Remains forever more
