Howard Pockrass Obituary


POCKRASS, Howard Lloyd
Passed away peacefully in Sacramento on April 15, 2007. Loving husband to his wife and best friend Phyllis. Cherished father of Radyne Citrenbaum and Suzanne Dodge and cherished father-in-law to David Citrenbaum. Adoring Papa to his granddaughters Anne, Megan, Amanda, and Ellen, He will be missed by many others including four-step-grandchildren Ben, Gene, Gail and Lewis, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Fran and Jordan Brodsky, as well as many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Howie was preceded in death by his parents Adolph and Shirley Pockrass and his brother Arlen Pockrass. Born May 9, 1937, in Bronx, N.Y. Before retirement he worked for West Valley/Mission College in Saratoga, Calif. He loved his family, pets, fishing and sports, especially ice hockey. He had a great sense of humor, was a talented musician, and loved life. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday (TODAY) at the HOME OF PEACE CEMETERY, 6200 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95824. Remembrances can be made in Howie's name to the American Diabetes Association.
