Irene Siler Obituary
June 23, 1949 - April 12, 2024
Rocklin, California - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Tina Siler. Tina pass peacefully after an 11 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Tinas strong will and spirit will live on and if you were lucky enough to be part of her inner circle you understand how deep this loss is.
Tina was born on June 23, 1949 to Ernest and Vivian Herald in San Francisco. She lived in SF until the family moved up to Sacramento during Tinas high school years. She graduated from El Camino High School and continued her education at American River college. In July of 1997 she married the love her her life, Terry (Sam) Siler and they ultimately settled in the Whitney Oaks area of Rocklin. Tina worked at Sierra College for more than 20 years where she created a 2nd family of her friends and co-workers. She continued to be very active with the college volunteering in the Patrons Club, overseeing and organizing ushering for the drama department and helping to organize their annual crab feed. Tina just always gave back and wasn't afraid to step up and help when needed.
Sam and Tina loved to travel and they visited many countries around the globe, making precious memories together. Their favorite place though was Pismo Beach. Nothing made Tina happier than taking their Corgi to Pismo where they enjoyed endless walks on the beach, eating good food and listening to and dancing to the local bands. Tina was a master gardener and her yard was full of colorful roses and plants, way too many to mention. She was also a terrific cook and loved to use things she grew in her own garden to make meals with. She was constantly making things for her friends, family and neighbors when they needed a little cheering up.
Tina is survived by her husband Sam and 4 siblings Vivian (Dennis), Michael , (Adri), Russell (Corry) and Janis (Mark). She also has numerous nieces and nephews that she adored.
We take comfort in knowing that Tina is no longer fighting this awful disease and that she has been reunited with her parents and her beloved Corgis.

Terry, 15 years as next door neighbors were amazing, 15 xmas morning seeing Tina in her apron, what a kind beautiful human and the greatest fighter ever, Tina is with Corky, Cosmo, and Sugar, our love goes out to you and all the family. Tina was an amazing, wonderful human. The kind of human so uniquely special that I imagine there are few that can match her bright light. I feel blessed to have known her. Love to her family and close friends during this hard time.

I loved this wonderful woman. She always made you feel loved, accepted, special no matter how long it had been since you last saw her. I had the privilege of seeing her late last month and it was as always such a pleasure. Fly with the angels until we meet again Tina, you will be missed on my visits to California.
