April 29, 2010

it is Apr 29 10, and I, at my home in Eagle, Idaho was thinking about Jimmy; he was the Best Man in our wedding (Mike and Patti Moss). (Mike died 6 yrs ago). Anyway, I went on line and typed in Jim's name. How sad I was to find that he had passed away. I don't know if any of the family will read this because it's been almost a year, but, if you do, please accept my heartfelt sympathy. He was our best man in May of 1967...A long time ago, but some people you just do not forget. I know that Mike always loved him. Patti (Moss) Wickwire

Dear Maudie, Max and Family:
I just learned of Jimmy's passing and am very sad he is gone. Many times at family functions we would sit and talk together and had such an enjoyable time. He and I had a special chemistry together as friends who could really communicate with each other and just "connect". I will really miss that and him, but know he is with his Mom, Dad and Uncle Augie in a beautiful place. He, and you all, are very special people. God bless you and give you His peace.

With love,

Patty Gregson, Sacramento, CA

To the Family,

We want to express our condolences during this difficult time. Jim was a wonderful person who cared deeply for everyone in his life. We always looked forward to seeing Jim at family gatherings. He was a very caring person who loved to be with his family and friends. A few years ago we had the joy of watching Jim with his beautiful granddaughter, Madison. We have so many special memories of Jim. Jim will always have a special place in our hearts.

We pray for God to give the family strength and comfort as we go through this time of great loss.

Love, Cousin Bernie, Cousin Kathy, Lanny & Kayla, Sacramento, California

My Condolences to the Baer and Goodwin family, I have known Jimmy from the time we were children on 8th ave. i have great memories playing golf at Land Park with Jim and our times playing baseball. He was always a much better athlete than I was. He could hit the golf ball a mile. Its hard to see our old friends go. What a super guy.

TO THE BAER/GOODWIN FAMILY,

THE LOSS OF OUR PARENTS IS DIFFICULT TO TAKE BUT THE LOSS OF A BROTHER OR SISTER IS BEYOND COMPREHENSION. THEY ARE ALMOST OUR AGE. HOW COULD THEY LEAVE US?

MAUDIE, WHEN I SAW YOU A FEW DAYS AGO, I LOOKED INTO YOUR EYES AND KNEW YOU WERE IN GREAT PAIN. YOU STRUGGLED TO LET US KNOW THAT JIMMY HAD PASSED AWAY. I AM SURE THIS WEEK AND THE WEEKS TO COME WILL BE BUMPY BUT WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW THAT OUR POSITIVE THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.

WE ARE SORRY WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE SERICES. OUR THOUGHTS WILL BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

You touched the lives of so many with your genuinely kind heart. I am blessed for having been given the opportunity to simply know you! My promise to you Jimmy is that I will take care of, protect & love with all my heart your big brother Max for the rest of my life. His love for you went beyond words and this loss in his life is profound. I know you will be watching over him with your mom & dad at your side. God be with you!

Max & Maude, you may not remember me. Mom baby sat for you three and I often came over to play. Jimmy & I stayed friends as adults. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed by so many.

Jim, I know the word LOVE is used far to flippantly, but in
this case, I loved you like my own brother. You were one
of the nicest, caring guys I ever knew.

Your Brother-in-law,

Tom
