STEIN, James L.
Passed away peacefully after a two year battle with emphysema April 3, 2009 surrounded by his family. He was born October 8, 1958 in Junction City, KS. Survived by his wife Maryanne, daughter Becca Stein Banford, husband Kevin, their sons Elias, Darius, and Cassius; daughter Andrea Stein Perry and husband Frank, their son Frankie; mother Masako Stein; brothers Robert and David; sister Judy Olson; in-laws S.A. and Helen Chandler, and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his daughter Courtney Chandler Stein, father Billy, and sister Betty. Jimmy was a member of the Cement Masons #400 and Laborers Union #185. Donations of cash, checks, or money orders are being accepted at any Golden One Credit Union. Make checks payable to: James L. Stein Memorial Fund, Solomon Chandler. Graveside services Friday, April 10th, 2:00PM at Sylvan Cemetery, 7401 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights.

Though it's been many years, upon learning of your untimely passing from this life to the next, I'm overcome with waves of emotion and so many memories of yesteryear.. My memories of you and your beautiful sister Betty will forever seem like yesterday to me. God Bless you Jimbo and may you rest in the peace that only God gives. I'm confident that I will one day see you and Betty again on the other side. I'll always remember you and Betty as the feisty ones full of life and fire... My prayers are with your remaining family and may God bring comfort and strength to those still here during this most trying time... You were ironically laid to rest on Good Friday, strangely the same day that our Lord Jesus died for us all and was also laid to rest, on the same day over 2000 years ago.. Thankfully, He rose again into new life on the third day, offering us all the hope of life everlasting.. I'll never forget you and your family will always be in my prayers and forever in my heart and memories... God bless your entire family and may He give them the strength to go on until it's our turn to take that final journey home. One thing I've learned in this life is that we all have our time and only God knows the day and the hour of our return.

Jimmy,
I was happy to be cousins even if it was only through marriage. I will miss driving ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE and seeing you, I will miss calling you to see how you are doing, but most of all I will ALWAYS remember you and think of you when I walk outside my back door and see my beautiful patio. We made a Chandler Stein Memorial Garden at Aunt Honeys and Uncle Sollys, or as you called them, Papa and Grandma. Ornofo came over and cleaned it up and planted new flowers for you. He was so great helping us with everything. Kiss Courtney and my mom for me.

I send my condolences to the family. I haven't seen him in many years but wish I would have been able to stay in contact him and his family. Jimmy was a good friend of my mom (Benita) and dad (Tom). I remember playing on the swing set in the backyard with Becca when we were little girls. Jimmy was a really good guy and I am sincerely sorry to hear that he has passed he will be deeply missed. He will always be remembered.

I am so sorry to hear about Jimmy's passing. I feel for his entire family, they have had more than their share of heartache. I grew up with the Stein family and was part of the family and I loved them all very much. Jimmy was like a brother to me. May God open his arms and show him the way to heaven. Rest in Peace Jimmy
