Jan Hartsock Obituary

HARTSOCK, Jan Bishop Aug. 30, 1956 to June 4, 2014 Jan Bishop Hartstock 57 passed away peacefully at her home in Placerville CA, during the early morning of June 4th 2014 surrounded by close family and friends. She was born in Brooklyn New York in 1956. A graduate from Collier High School/ Sisters of the Good Shepherd in Marlboro, New Jersey, Jan later moved to California with her family in the mid 1970's. She was a resident of Sacramento CA, for more than 25 years before moving to Placerville in 2001. She most recently worked in the nursing profession for more then 15 years in the Sacramento area and later in Folsom CA. Jan was a very caring person who showed genuine compassion for the patients and people she worked with. She enjoyed spending time in the garden tending her flowers and plants, watching Nascar races, cooking, baking and collecting antiques. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her dogs most recently a dachshund named Autumn, whom she adored. Jan was preceded in death by her beloved husband Fredrick Hartsock Jr. Jan is survived by her son Michael Garced and her brother Steven Verrone.
