Jane Hue Obituary
February 12, 1931 - November 24, 2022
Roseville, California - Jane Hue, 91, of Roseville, California passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 24, 2022. Jane was born on February 12th, 1931 to Yee Shee Lum and Yim Lam in San Francisco, CA. She was raised in San Francisco and was a graduate of Lowell High School. She married Frank Hue on October 17, 1954 at her sister's home in San Francisco. They lived in Sacramento, San Francisco and Bakersfield, and after a long career as a draftsperson, she and Frank retired to Roseville to be closer to their granddaughters. They attended every soccer and softball game, piano recital, and always supported their granddaughter's endeavors.
She was known for her Crunch Cake, her favorite dessert. It is still a mystery how she made the crunch topping using just the microwave. She was an avid 49er and Golden State Warriors fan, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. She had a wry sense of humor, as she loved the "Peanuts" comic strip and Lucy's 5 cent "advice"!
She is survived by her daughter Arleen (husband Eugene), son Jonathan (wife Vivian), granddaughters Jennifer (husband Dennis) and Kimberly, twin sister Sue, and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, brothers George and Charles, and sisters Amy, Ida, and Barbara.
Jane's Celebration of Life is on Saturday January 7, 2023 at Noon at Chinese Community Church , 5600 Gilgunn, Sacramento, CA 95822. A banquet luncheon for family and friends will immediately follow the service.
