Jeane DAVIDSON Obituary
DAVIDSON, Jeane
Born Jeane Leonore Grady, March 23, 1923, the only child of Frank A Grady and Inez M. Leach, in Olean, NY, Jeane was a lively & curious spirit, stoical, and a hostess who warmly welcomed strangers and made a network of friendships. She moved to Sacramento in 1955 and immediately became an active member of what is now the Unitarian Universalist Society, participating in all aspects of church life. Jeane sang for many years with the UUSS Choir and briefly with the Sacto. Philharmonic Choir. She worked in the offices of Drs. James Farley & Wm. Hedges and then volunteered over 20 years at Kaiser Morse. A proud member of the Sacto. Renaissance Society Writers Group #1, she also supported NAMI and Turning Point, LWV and the SPCA. In 1960 she married her second husband, Jack Davidson. They were a devoted couple and lived the past few years at Atria, El Camino Gardens where Jeane greatly enjoyed participating in senior community life. Jeane died Nov. 8, 2013, in hospice comfort care at Gramercy Court.

JEANE WAS A JOY TO KNOW. SHE WAS A POSITIVE INFLUENCE ON THE RENAISSANCE SOCIETY AT SACRAMENTO STATE UNIVERSITY, SERVING IN SEVERAL POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY. SHE WAS MY FRIEND.

Jeane was one of the sweetest persons I have ever known. I knew her health was frail, but she seemed to always have such a positive attitude and an inner light. I shall miss her very much. Rest in peace and love, Jeane.
