Jill Evans Obituary
EVANS, Jill M.
After a long and very courageous battle with ovarian cancer, Jill moved into the Cosmos with the same grace and dignity with which she lived her life on May 2, 2009, at the age of 66. Jill's creative and joyful spirit brought a unique light to the world. She will be forever missed and held in the memories of her two children, Lorna and Rob, her four grandchildren, Kiana, Haley, Craig and Solomon, her son and daughter-in-law Bob and Mindy, and the countless others that she touched along the way. Jill had a boundless energy for life, and was passionate about many things including Astronomy, Gardening, Native American Culture, the Great Outdoors, and her two dogs Pete and Emma. Along her life journey Jill earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing and had a fulfilling career in Labor and Delivery, where she touched so many, many more. A private ceremony will be held for family and close friends at her treasured place in the mountains when the snow melts - Packer Lake.

My Dear Friend Lorna,
Knowing your Mom was a great privilige. Jill was truly an "angel". She was soft spoken, kind and gentle.
I will continue to cherish memories of your beautiful Mom and will miss her very much. I am so sorry for the pain you continue to endure every day and I am here to hold your hand through the journey.
When we meet her on the other side, we will throw a big party and celebrate our reunion.

My prayers are with your family and friends. Jill was a friend to all, human and animals. She loved to love and it always showed in her life and many accomplishments. Rob, Lorna and kids, you were so fortunate to have the opportunity to have such a special mom and grandma to enjoy and remember. The world she touched has truely lost someone unique and special.

The world has lost some magic. Jill touched the lives of so many. She knew how to be present and give completely. She had a way of making labor and delivery nursing look easy. It was far from that, complicated at times, both clinically and socially. Jill's natural way, sparkly eyes, and caring presence brought confidence to those she served. Thank you, Jill, for having the courage to always be yourself. Lorna, Rob, and all family members, I am sorry for your loss of Jill's bright light.

My deep sympathy to Jill's son, Rob and daughter, Lorna. I have thought of Jill many times. She was, among many things, a seemingly boundless font of information--both practical and enchanting. She was an inspiration of courage to me and I try to pass that on to others, knowing that one dear soul I had the privilege to know and care about, lived it for all of us. The picture you chose of her captures her beauty perfectly. Again, I am sorry for your great loss.

Her gentle soul, sense of humor and compassionate approach to everything in life will be very much missed. She had a big impact on me from an early time in my life and I considered her as more than just a relative. I considered her a kindred sprit. I will miss her very much.

Rob, Mindy, Kiana and Solomon - As you know, our sympathies are with you at this time and in the future. I can imagine she and David hugging in heaven and talking about all the babies they helped bring into the world. You were such a kind and genuine person with a piercing wisdom about you..and a way with words and with people that was very special. Jill was the oldest of my five sisters. She was sweet , kind, loving, courageous and always positive. I cherish the memories of our visits, our talks. I will miss her dearly.
