Passed away in Folsom on March 23, 2005. Preceded in death by Mildred, wife of 56 years. Survived by sons Randy (wife, Linda) and Glenn (wife, Lisa); daughter, Stephanie Heeney (husband, Mike); 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchild. Born at the Kiluea Military Camp on Hilo Hawaii on October 9, 1921. John was raised in Hilo and as a young man spent his summers working with his Uncle at the Kalaupapa Leper Colony on Molokai Island. He witnessed first hand the ravages of war while working at Hickam Field during the Pearl Harbor attack, where bombs and gunfire killed many of his friends and co-workers. John married his high school sweetheart, Mildred Souza Evans, and together moved their small family to Midway Island where he supervised the re-establishment of power and fresh water facilities after the war. He and Millie moved to San Mateo, California in 1958. When John wasn't working at his business, Feuling Equipment, located at the San Francisco Airport for over 20 years, you could find he and Millie flying his Cherokee all over California or going for long weekends in the delta with friends on his cabin cruiser, Kuuipo. He loved to visit his son Randy in Alaska and go fishing. John's love of cooking and entertaining were legendary among his friends and family. His artistic talents shown in everything he touched, from designing and building additions to the family home, to carving magical swan centerpieces for special occasions, to custom cabinetry. John was truly a renaissance man, adored by his family and friends. He will be sorely missed. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, April 2nd at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3111 Tierra de Dios Dr., El Dorado Hills, CA.
