John Parsons Obituary
May 25, 1950 - July 2, 2021
Auburn, California -
John passed away unexpectedly at home with his wife of 48 yrs Michelle by his side. Born in Danville, PA, to John & June Parsons he moved to Albuquerque, NM, graduating from Sandia HS & NAU. A beloved husband, father and Pop, he was a quiet family man & unknown hero. Preceded in death by his parents & older brother, Tom. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; children Jessica Menasco (husband Jeff, Jack, Siena, Julia), Gavin (wife Kelli, Nolan, Declan) and Logan; mother-in-law Ruth Edwards; nephews James & John; niece Laura. A lumberman at trade, he retired in 2016 and loved every moment. John enjoyed working in his yard, walking Bella, golfing and strong martinis. His rescued animals were his passion. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Placer SPCA Auburn. All are invited to his Celebration of Life: July 11, 1pm, The Ridge in Auburn.

Dear Michelle and family,
I was so so sorry to read about your husband´s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad and difficult time. I know when my husband passed, the first year was the most difficult. My advice is to try and stay busy, exercise and don´t forget to eat.

I knew John through work for over 20 years. In that time, I sold John enough lumber to literally build thousands of homes. Never once did John ever say or do anything of less than exemplary character or integrity.
I also had more than a few occasions to enjoy a meal, round of golf, and an adult beverage with John. All of it time well spent, well remembered, and he will be one of my fondest personal memories from my time in the lumber business. Be well, my friend.

I played golf for a few years every Saturday with John, Steve, Fred, Dennis, Randy, and my dad Gary. John was a great man. Someone that I met and instantly could tell what a great guy he was. I know he will be sorely missed by many, and from my family to yours we are truly very sorry for your loss.
