SOUZA, John A.

John was in the food service business for 27 years in the San Jose, Sacramento, and Northern Nevada areas. John worked at many automobile dealerships in Sacramento from 1980 to 1997. Previously he had bartended at the Sands, Callisons, and The Club 400. Born in Fresno, CA, in 1929. In 1948 John enlisted in the Navy. On his return he attended Fresno City College where he played offensive halfback and defensive safety. He was known in the Navy for his championship boxing bouts, having 49 fights, 40 knock outs.
