Denise, Cassie, and Johnny: I don't know where to start! John was always such a joy, as a little boy he was spoiled rotten! How could he not with three older sisters. He never had to fight a fight as he would say my sisters will get you!and we always came running, and he would proudly say I told you so. As he grew older he always had that infectious smile and laugh, and those twinkling eye, let him get away with murder. He was a good uncle to younger neuphes, Barry, Chad, Brian @ James, he taught them how to swim, and ride his motorcycle, he tried to teach me but no luck! No matter what we did he always had something funny to say that would make you laugh that really hard belly laugh. He was a wonderful father and husband, both Denise and the kids will miss him dearly, as will all knew him. no words can express what a whole in the family he will leave. i love and will miss you forever my brother, my friend forever! God bless the kids and denise, mom, dad and all who knew him Love your sister sharon!

My heart aches for the Spanos family. Such a tragic loss is difficult to comprehend. I will always treasure many fond memories of John, Mr. Spanos, at Rocklin Elementary School. As the fortunate first grade teacher of dear Cassie and Johnny, I had the pleasure of also getting to know John and Denise. I got to see John nearly every school day as I bid my students adieu after another day of learning together. John, the consumate loving dad, greeted his children and their classmates with a big smile, a hearty laugh, and friendly, caring comments. His jolly demeanor brought happiness to others. I will miss him. I hope that Denise, Cassie, and Johnny take comfort in knowing that their sorrow is shared by many who knew their wonderful husband and dad.

Denise and Family- I am so sorry for your loss. John always made a point of waving hi to me at school. His smile would brighten up my day. I missed him the very first day of school. Such a kind and funny person. I will pray for you, Cassie, and Johnny. I've always thought that you guys were one of the sweetest families. (Bailey's mom)

John was a very funny guy, I will always remember him for his sense of humor. I always would enjoy the times that him and his Dad would come in to Mountain Mikes for pizza and we got to talk for a little bit..he was a good man, and I just want to send my personal condolences to his family, everyone affected by this loss and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
