.. Joey I just found out about your passing.. I have to say I was shocked and saddened deeply.. you were one of the first people I met here when I moved here in 7th grade.. we did a lot of fun things together over the years of our friendship.. :-) I got to know your children and you helped take care of my son Jeremy when I would go to work at Bill Graham presents with you.. carpooling.. you were always a very outstanding person and loving friend.. I also remember Betty with much love.. and your whole family.. my deepest sympathy to everyone.. I would have been at the memorial for sure if I would have known but I just found out..... :-( my love and prayers go out to all of you..

It's been a very long time since I've seen Joey. We hung out in our teens (1975) and I remember him being really kind and a lot of fun. He took me to my first horse race, in fact, he won a few hundred dollars. He was the best pool player I've ever seen. My now husband and I stopped into the deli years ago and it was so good to see him. Another thing I remember about Joey was his love for his Camaro - what a great car. It's very sad that he's passed away; I wish his family my condolences.

March 19, 2014

I'm very sorry for your loss. I remember also coming in the deli with my parents and then my family. For yeaars enjoyed going there. I even remember his mom and dad.....just can't believe it, but they are all together now...enjoying all the good food. May God bless your family. Betty Lee (Bianchi)

Dear DeeDee, Jason, Steven, Whitney & Family - During my first visit with Frances she spoke of all of you and of course Joey! You have a beautiful, strong family. So very sad to hear of Joey passing. He stopped in last December with toys for tots...he was very proud of the handsome grandson he brought along to teach the value of generosity. Joey was a kind man, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Our sincere condolences and prayers are with Joey's family. We had some good times as kids and I still remember the good times we had in our fifth grade class at Cirby School during the 1966-67 school year. I always enjoy stopping by the deli whenever we are in town to visit, and always loved saying hi to Joey, as well as having the Giuseppe sandwich. You will be missed my friend. Until we meet again.

Finding out of Joey's passing is like hearing of a brothers death... I'm heartbroken, it's surreal to know we won't see or hear him again. It is w/fondness we all remember Joey. Our familia first me him as a youngster playing Little League baseball w/our late bro Leonard. All of our familia got to know the Lucchesi's friendly arms that embraced Leanard as a frequent visitor. Later we visited BFD... I'm blessed that my own familia, including my g'kids got to meet Joey. God bless you & may Jesus' arms embrace you w/comfort during this difficult time. En paz descanse. To All of Joey's Family,

The entire Trevizo families are praying rosaries for Joey and his family.

Our fondest memories are of Joey (pitcher) and Leonard (catcher) playing Little League together. They were small in stature and made it up in their spectacular plays, unbelievable. The best and most entertaining for the whole crowd watching their funniest and entertaining rolling on the ground and laughing at the opposition. It simply unnerved the bigger players. We will always remember the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Lucchesi always offering up DeDe to go and pickup Mr. Trevizo and whoever could fit in her Corvette, so that we all could enjoy the game. My Mom is in morning as he was always her son too.

Love, Prayers, and a Mass in his honor.
